Who are you?
You are a creation of nature with four dimensions:
- Inner Self
- Physical Self
- Higher Self
- Lower Self
Let's gain more awareness about your Physical Self and how to manage it for better health and higher energy.
The Physical Self encompasses your name, your health, how you dress, how you talk, and what you do. Others can perceive your Physical Self. It is a partial reflection of your Inner Self and aids in expressing your Inner Self in the physical world.
Maintaining your Physical Self is essential as it directly impacts your Inner Happiness. For example, if you are not healthy, you worry and lose your inner peace and happiness.
Therefore, ensuring good health is crucial to support your overall well-being.
The Happiness Mountain's Methodology focuses on the following four aspects to achieve a happy physical self:
- Eating healthy
- Cardio exercises
- Strength exercises
- Flexibility exercises
Eating Healthy
Fueling your body with nutritious foods ensures that your Physical Self can operate at its best. Incorporate a diet rich in fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Minimize processed foods and avoid excessive sugar. Remember to hydrate with pure, natural water to support all bodily functions. A well-balanced diet gives you sustained energy, keeps your immune system strong, and promotes overall vitality.
Cardio Exercises
Cardio exercises, like walking, jogging, swimming, or cycling, strengthen your heart and lungs while boosting endurance. These activities enhance your circulation and energy levels, helping you feel more alive throughout the day. Aim for at least 30 minutes of cardio, three to five times a week. Whether indoors or outdoors, keeping your heart rate up promotes cardiovascular health, lowers stress, and contributes to mental clarity.
Strength Exercises
Strength exercises, such as weight lifting, bodyweight exercises, or resistance training, build and maintain muscle. They improve posture, bone density, and metabolic function. Incorporating strength training into your routine at least two to three times a week not only increases physical power but also protects your body from injury as you age. The stronger your muscles, the more capable you are of handling life's challenges.
Flexibility Exercises
Flexibility exercises like yoga, stretching, or Pilates help maintain a full range of motion in your joints and reduce stiffness. Flexibility supports daily activities by improving balance, coordination, and posture. Integrating flexibility exercises into your routine can prevent injury and relieve physical tension. Practice stretching or yoga for 10-15 minutes a day to feel more at ease and aligned in your body.
